𝘽𝙀𝘾𝙊𝙈𝙀 𝘼 𝙁𝙊𝙎𝙏𝙀𝙍! 𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙥 𝙪𝙨 𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙥 𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙂𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙖 𝙋𝙞𝙜𝙨
Our foster program centers around a short-term (1-3 month avg) volunteer opportunity by placing guinea pigs with individuals who preferably have guinea pig experience, able to spend time socializing them to prepare them for adoption. No experience? You can still apply-we provide training and will place certain Guinea pigs with you that may be easier to handle and care for.
So what does it take?
Despite their BIG personality, guinea pigs are little critters and have some unique care requirements. To join our team of fosters, we ask you to:
- Complete our foster application below
- Attend initial training and our monthly foster zoom meeting
- Stay in contact with our Foster Coordinator with updates or any health concerns
- Be available to bring your foster piggies to Meet & Greets (normally Sundays, 1-3 times a month)
SCCR will provide all supplies needed-habitat, liners, hay, pellets. Thank you for your interest!
